I. Understand the true nature of the church as a temple of God vv.16-17
Characteristics of a temple
Corporately we belong to God.
The Spirit of God dwells in us.
We are Holy.
Holiness should characterize the local church.
Genuine worship of God should abound in our lives.
A life of surrender to the Lordship of Christ.
We must recognize the primacy and place the local church has in our lives.
II. Beware of worldly wisdom vv.18-20
III. Abandon all boasting in men vv. 21-23
IV. Maintain a proper regard for church leaders vv. 4:1-2
V. Don’t pass judgement too quickly but wait for the Lord to return vv. 3-5
